So, I got myself one of those 40-pin Sentro knitting machines. I’d been seeing them all over the internet, and my curiosity finally got the better of me. I unboxed it and took a look at all the parts. There’s the main circular thing where all the needles are, and then I found the handle.
First things first, I needed to set it up. I attached the legs that came with it. It’s pretty simple. Then I started figuring out this whole yarn tension thing, which, let me tell you, is a bit of a learning curve. But I started to install the yarn and get it fixed.
After a few failed attempts, I finally got the yarn threaded correctly. The key, I learned, is to make sure it goes through the yarn guide properly. Then I set up the handle, which is what you use to crank and start the knitting process. It moves clockwise and counterclockwise.
Once the yarn was in place, I started cranking slowly. I watched as the machine started knitting a tube. I was amazed! It’s so cool to see it work.

My First Project
For my first real project, I decided to make a simple scarf. I chose a nice, soft yarn, and started cranking away. It took a little while, but before I knew it, I had a decent-length scarf knitted up.
Casting off was a bit tricky at first. I had to use a yarn needle to carefully take the stitches off the machine, but after a few tries, I got it.
